Role Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Client Services to lead and grow a portfolio of key medical affairs and commercial accounts. This role requires deep knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, especially in the areas of scientific communications, medical strategy, and commercial support. The VP will act as a senior client partner, team leader, and strategic advisor, ensuring best-in-class service delivery and account growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Leadership & Strategy:
  • Serve as the senior point of contact for key pharmaceutical and biotech clients.
  • Build strong, strategic partnerships with clients across medical affairs and commercial teams.
  • Lead high-level program planning, medical strategy development, and cross-functional integration.
  • Lead and mentor a team of account directors, managers, and support staff.
  • Champion a culture of collaboration, excellence, and professional development.
  • Foster integration between client services, medical, creative, and digital teams.
  • Business Growth & Financial Management:
  • Drive organic growth through account development, up-selling, and strategic insight.
  • Oversee profitability, forecasting, and budget management for accounts.
  • Support new business development, including pitching, proposal development, and onboarding.
  • Quality & Operational Excellence:
  • Ensure flawless execution of deliverables, from scientific platforms and advisory boards to digital campaigns and internal training.
  • Maintain oversight of project timelines, scopes, and client satisfaction.
  • Anticipate challenges and implement solutions to keep projects and partnerships on track.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in a client services or strategic leadership role within a medcomms agency.
  • Proven experience leading medical affairs and commercial accounts.
  • Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical product lifecycle and compliance frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing large budgets and teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in life sciences (PhD, PharmD, or MD preferred but not essential).
  • Experience in global account management.
  • Track record of delivering high-quality strategic deliverables (e.g., scientific platforms, medical education, launch support).
