Citi is seeking a seasoned expert to lead cash management sales for Commercial Banking clients based in Japan. The candidate will develop a robust sales strategy to drive client acquisition and deepen existing relationships, leveraging market trends to provide innovative solutions. A strong background in banking and sales, alongside effective communication skills, is required for success.
Citi Commercial Banking (CCB) segment has been the biggest growth engine for TTS (Treasury and Trade Solutions) globally over the last few years, driven by focus on new-age/high growth industry segments, reallocation of resources to growth opportunities and significant product build to enrich value proposition for this client segment. In the newly established Japan CCB organization, large growth is expected with acceleration driven by CCB strategy and continued investment by TTS in product development and sales resourcing. The successful candidate will lead origination of regional and global cash management business with Japan Headquartered Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) clients based in Japan to grow domestic and outbound business as well as work with other regions outside Japan to grow in-bound business (Japanese subsidiaries of US/EMEA/LATAM CCB clients). The transaction banking industry is undergoing a tremendous amount of disruption as clients rapidly change their behaviors with new business models (e.g. direct to consumer, eCommerce) and clients are increasingly expecting thought leadership on banking solutions geared toward their specific industry and more holistic solutions to address cash management and working capital needs. The role is responsible for successfully developing and executing a sales strategy to stay ahead of competitors, acquire new clients across the CCB client segments & deepen wallet share with existing clients by identification and delivery of innovative client centric solutions.
