Job Summary:

The Vice President, BDO Capital Advisors is a key member of the transaction and business development team. This role involves preparing financial analyses, conducting due diligence, developing marketing materials, and participating in various transactions. The position also includes managing client interactions, leading marketing efforts, and recruiting and training junior professionals. Ideal candidates are dynamic, highly motivated, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to the firm's growth in the middle market.

Job Duties:

  • Manage and review work of junior investment banking professionals
  • Support Managing Directors in marketing, business development, and deal execution
  • Oversee preparation and analysis of financial information
  • Supervise business due diligence
  • Prepare confidential information memoranda, presentations, and marketing materials
  • Create financial models and valuation analyses
  • Conduct industry research to support client and marketing activities
  • Maintain relationships with clients, prospects, and advisors
  • Develop a personal business development plan
  • Perform other duties as required

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a small team of Associates/Analysts
  • Act as a Career Advisor to team members as assigned

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting required
  • MBA preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience, including at least 4 years in transactions, preferably in Investment Banking

Licenses / Certifications:

  • FINRA Series 7 / 79 and 63 required

Software Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Experience with research tools like CapitalIQ preferred

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Financial modeling and analysis expertise
  • Ability to conduct independent research
  • Willingness to travel as needed

Salary range varies based on qualifications and location, approximately $150,000 - $225,000.
