We are seeking a dynamic Vice President, Account Manager – Alternatives to support the significant growth of our US wealth alternatives business. In this role, you will be the go-to contact for several of our platform partners, covering home office research teams and originations professionals. You will also collaborate with various internal teams to execute on our business initiatives, including new product launches and seamless platform onboardings. As the subject matter expert, your ability to engage confidently with senior leadership across partner firms and internal departments—such as US Global Wealth Management (GWM) client-facing teams, Portfolio Management, Product Strategy, Legal, Operations, and offshore client-facing teams—will be crucial to your success.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Develop in-depth knowledge of PIMCO’s alternative products to effectively address inquiries from clients and prospects.
  2. Cultivate and strengthen relationships to support business development efforts, particularly with RIA aggregators, independent broker-dealers, and regional banks.
  3. Exhibit a strong dedication to client service by responding promptly and urgently to requests from both internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Build strong relationships with internal teams, including the Product Strategy Group, Alternatives Finance, Relationship Managers, and Legal & Compliance, to facilitate information sharing and timely responses to inquiries.
  5. Utilize advanced tools such as Excel (including spreadsheets and macros), CRM systems, and external databases effectively for various special projects.
  6. Analyze and present data in a compelling manner using Excel and PowerPoint.
  7. Maintain and strengthen relationships with key vendors, including iCapital, CAIS, and +Subscribe.
  8. Ensure the highest level of compliance with all industry standards, client firm requirements, and PIMCO policies, including adherence to all legislative and regulatory requirements.
  9. Maintain a high level of precision in all tasks while meeting tight deadlines.
Qualifications

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required; CFA or CAIA, and/or an MBA are a plus. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the alternatives, credit, or real estate markets required. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a robust interest and knowledge of alternative investment structures and strategies. Established relationships and knowledge of platform partners is a plus. Possession of FINRA Series 7, 3, and 63 licenses or must obtain within three (3) months of employment commencement. Experience working with iCapital and CAIS is highly desirable. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to engage key partners, present sales materials, and convey technical product information. Demonstrated exceptional client engagement skills and an entrepreneurial mindset, consistently achieving high levels of client satisfaction while building and deepening strong, lasting relationships through a strong commitment to client service and excellence.

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Salary Range: $205,000.00 - $240,000.00
