Job description

Vice Presidents serve as team leaders, advisors and partners to the internal team and client. You have a keen ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects across the agency, partnering with both internal and external stakeholders. You have a natural curiosity and are motivated by driving excellent results. You provide leadership in the development of strategic plans that will grow client business and generate revenue and are extremely knowledgeable in earned-first strategy. You supervise, train, and motivate account team members to ensure a pervasive high level of performance. This Vice President will work in a hyper-growth and scale environment across an exciting, award-winning portfolio brand in the personal care / beauty industry.

This is a hybrid role in New York, NY.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the day-to-day Account Management lead, partnering closely with the integrated Ogilvy team and respective client teams
  • Lead and collaborate with PR, Social, Influence, Creative, and Production teams and consistently ensure the work and deliverables are earned-first
  • Act as the leading agency partner for the client portfolio and effectively negotiate & drive scopes of work
  • Continuously inform and influence client decisions
  • Responsible for overall client satisfaction always hunting for solutions and innovative ideas
  • Help lead cross-functional teams inclusive of PR, Social, Influence, Creative, Production, Strategy to deliver impactful campaign work
  • Integrate solutions and identify new business opportunities as the client’s trusted leading partner
  • Build strong, collaborative, and trusted relationships with creative and strategic partners
  • Provides counsel and executes media and advocacy relations activities and has working
  • knowledge of media, influencers, advocates and their needs
  • Develop and direct new business programs, including closely coordinating with the senior leaders and participating in the new business process from start to finish
  • Maintain and grow existing accounts, establishing relationships with key client contacts and ensuring that client / agency relationships exists on multiple levels and grow over time
  • Powerful communicator, able to engender trust across all levels
  • Demonstrate responsibility and accountability for agency performance and flawless delivery
  • Act as an open resource to the team, assessing ideas and encouraging people to push further
  • Monitor and communicate POV on current marketing and industry issues
  • Effectively manage teams – coaching and inspiring the growth and development of junior staff providing consistent feedback, training, and growth opportunities

What You’ll Need

  • 10+ years of integrated marketing communications experience and have an existing background in PR, Social and / or Influence
  • Existing experience in Account Management is required for this role
  • Ability to shift, flex, and be as agile as needed – lead clients in multitude of accounts in a quick, fast, environment
  • Natural leader to drive business, client relationships, and internal team deliverables
  • Strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Background in media training, executive visibility, thought leadership, corporate reputation, crisis communications, and / or media relations
  • Experience in beauty, makeup, personal care, skincare, wellness is strongly preferred
  • Experience delivering communication strategies and creative across channels
  • Commitment to ensuring creative excellent and output
  • Passionate about great work, your team and our business
  • A good listener – someone who reads people and a room (and adapts their style accordingly)
  • Strong background in the strategy and development of PR programs and provide strategic / solid thinking to clients
  • Natural and effective collaborator, insatiably curious, a lifelong learner
  • Strong business abilities and financial acumen to deliver work on time and on budget
  • An understanding of the dynamics and workings of the agency’s process as it relates to the client’s business

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
