Job summary

Haymaker Group in Manhattan, NY seeks a Vice President to elevate our tech PR practice and scale across more companies and markets. You will lead high-impact campaigns, mentor talent, and deepen relationships with top reporters.

This role requires a data-driven, hands-on leader who can strategize with founders and public-company executives while maintaining our culture of hard work and fun. Hybrid work with in-office days in Manhattan.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or higher.
• 8–12 years of technology PR experience.
• Agency experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple client accounts flawlessly.
• Hands-on media relations at Tier 1 level.
• Mentor and guide the team with resource management.
• Provide vision and early issue resolution.
• Identify new growth levers for clients and the company.

Haymaker is in search of a Vice President who can help us continue building on our stellar reputation and scale our work to more companies and markets.

The right candidate will have tech media in their bones, a rich network of reporter relationships, an outstanding track record of running communications strategies for high-growth technology companies, and a love of mentoring young talent.

Since our clients range from startups to publicly-traded companies, you should be as comfortable speaking with an early-stage founder as you are with a public company CMO.

We work hard but have a lot of fun winning on behalf of our clients and building unique, industry-defining events like our Media Summit conference series.

Location

Manhattan, NY (Hybrid model with required 3 days in-office)

Comp range

$175k – $225k, in addition to firm incentives

Required Experience

• Undergraduate degree or higher
• 8 – 12 years of technology PR experience
  • Some agency experience required
