UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas has pioneered many important advances in medicine and patient care, and our primary care physicians are widely regarded as among the best in the nation.The Department of Family and Community Medicine at UT Southwestern is seeking a visionary and enthusiastic leader to serve as the nextVice Chair for Clinical Affairs. Family Medicine is a well-established department, with two residency training sites, four ambulatory practices, and provide inpatient care at Parkland Memorial and Dallas Presbyterian hospitals. Our physicians also provide care in nursing homes, in hospice and palliative care settings, and in sleep and sports medicine.
We are seeking a strong candidate who is creative and future-oriented, with an eye for opportunity and growth. Our nextVice Chairwill join a thriving academic family practice that is expanding its service area, building new practices, and hiring a significant number of family physicians to join the practice.

The qualified candidate will have considerable experience, preferably at the Associate Professor level or above, and have demonstrated progressive administrative and operational proficiency. Specifically, this leader will oversee clinical operations for our Family Medicine residency program and faculty practices, co-lead the growth of a new Primary Care Service Line, and oversee our inpatient services. We are a truly diverse group of clinicians, educators, and scholars who strive to deliver outstanding care to all our patients, improve the way primary care is provided, and educate excellent family physicians for the next generation. Our department is focused on growing our research and extramural funding with opportunities to grow research across our clinical enterprise through innovation and collaboration.
