Eastern Industrial Automation, Inc. (EIA) is seeking an experienced Vibration Technician to serve our growing customer base in NJ, NY, PA, and MD. The role reports to the Engineering Service Manager and involves field data collection, vibration analysis, and support services.

Responsibilities

• Perform vibration data collection, analysis, and timely reporting of machine condition findings for a diverse customer base.
• Evaluate machinery health and condition of all types of rotating equipment through detailed vibration data analysis.
• Conduct failure analysis of rotating equipment to determine root causes and help develop preventive solutions.
• Perform supportive services such as laser alignment, dynamic balancing, and oil analysis, and troubleshoot equipment and instrumentation related to data collection systems.
• Perform select field services such as changing sheaves and belts.
• Interface with existing key company stakeholders, including Automation, Hydraulic, Pneumatic Specialists and Field Service Technicians, to grow business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience and certification in ISO category one or an equivalent preferred, with a minimum of two years’ experience in vibration data analysis.
• Knowledge of vibration data and analysis techniques.
• Experience interfacing with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience working around rotating equipment.
• Experience with machine learning and innovation in machinery health assessments is preferred.
• Willingness to travel throughout the local designated market areas (approximately 50–60%).
• U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States.
