Job summary

HECO in Lexington, KY is seeking a skilled Vibration Analyst (CAT II or III) to join our team. You will perform vibration analysis on rotating equipment and support predictive maintenance to improve asset health and reduce downtime.

Responsibilities include data collection, reporting, and collaborating with maintenance and operations to optimize performance. Required ISO/ASNT CAT II certification, 2+ years in the field, and knowledge of motor controls, VFDs, and CSI/Emerson tools.

Qualifications

• Certification in Vibration Analysis (ISO or ASNT) at CAT II level.
• Minimum 2+ years in vibration analysis or rotating equipment maintenance.
• Knowledge of motor controls, VFDs, and industrial electrical systems.
• Experience with vibration analysis software such as CSI or Emerson.

Responsibilities

• Perform vibration analysis, troubleshooting, and condition monitoring on rotating equipment.
• Conduct route-based data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Support motor control system troubleshooting including VFDs and soft-starters.
• Prepare clear reliability reports with actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operations to optimize performance.
