Job summary

ANDRITZ is seeking a motivated Vibration Analyst to join our Predictive Maintenance and Reliability team in Charlotte, NC. This hands‑on field role supports an industrial Pulp & Paper facility, focusing on data collection, analysis, and actionable recommendations to prevent equipment failures.

You will work with experienced analysts to develop skills in vibration analysis, online monitoring, and related predictive technologies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of mechanical equipment.
• Willingness to learn vibration analysis and predictive maintenance technologies.
• Ability to travel up to 30% within North America.

Responsibilities

• Collect and monitor vibration data from rotating equipment (motors, pumps, fans, gearboxes, conveyors, rolls).
• Review vibration spectra, waveforms, and trends to identify faults such as imbalance, misalignment, and bearing defects.
• Support troubleshooting and root-cause investigations, developing actionable maintenance recommendations.
• Maintain vibration databases, equipment records, and technical documentation; communicate findings in reports.
• Assist with installation and verification of wireless and online condition monitoring systems.
• Support other predictive maintenance technologies (ultrasound, lubrication, infrared thermography).
• Collaborate with senior analysts and SMEs on complex conditions.
• Participate in weekend duty rotation after training.
