Job summary

Rowan College of South Jersey seeks a full-time tenure-track faculty member to teach and evaluate students in veterinary technology within the STEM Division. The position includes instruction at main and branch campuses, curriculum development, and participation in college-wide discussions and accreditation activities.

The role requires DVM or CVT, 2+ years clinical experience, and eligible NJ licensure. Teaching experience and online delivery ability are preferred; duties include committee work

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or CVT required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical veterinary experience.
• Current license or eligibility for licensure in New Jersey upon hire (or credentialing for CVT).
• Experience teaching in an academic setting preferred.
• Ability to design and implement effective pedagogical strategies for diverse students.

Responsibilities

• Provide college-level instruction in veterinary technology lecture and lab courses and related topics.
• Develop and update syllabi and instructional materials reflecting current science.
• Deliver online lessons when required and maintain online learning platforms.
• Participate in curriculum development, assessment, and program accreditation activities.
• Support students with progress, advising, and office hours; maintain records and grading.
• Collaborate with colleagues on teaching strategies, program assessment, and college committees.
• Represent the college in community partnerships and transfer initiatives.
• Maintain professional standards and engage in ongoing scholarly activities.
