The Urgent Care Assistant Manager is fully responsible for the day to day operations of the hospital overseeing staff and providing our clients patients and the team with the resources needed to deliver outstanding patient care and customer service Our ideal candidate will have 3 years experience preferably in veterinary general practice as this role requires critical thinking and skills specific to veterinary medicine You will be responsible for interviewing hiring onboarding and scheduling your team as well as mentoring and developing personalized growth plans with each employee The hospital manager works closely with the surrounding area hospital managers to develop workflow improvements to increase efficiency while managing high quality care as well as resolving client concerns This is a hands on leadership role that requires the ability to perform veterinary technician duties while supporting the team on the hospital floor The position is expected to be approximately a 5050 split between leadership responsibilities and direct patient care with up to 75 of the time spent assisting the clinical team as needed to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional patient care
This is a full time position 4 5 day rotation 12pm 10pm or 10am 8pm Weekends and holidays are required Must be able to work a flexible schedule and adjust hours as needed to support coverage for callouts vacations and operational needs
2800 3400 an hour based on experience

2 years of Veterinary Technician experiencePrior urgent care and management experience is a plusCVT license is a plusKnowledge of Anesthesia and monitoringPhlebotomyKnowledge of the procedures used for scheduling patients receiving treating ordering medical supplies and requesting laboratory testsKnowledge of the use care and storage of veterinary instruments materials and equipmentKnowledge of sterilization techniques to sterilize various instruments and materialsKnowledge of the instruments materials and standardized procedures used in the full variety of treatments to prepare and provide tableside assistanceKnowledge of principles and processes for providing client and personal services This includes client needs assessment meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of client satisfactionKnowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words rules of composition and grammarAbility to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept directions on given assignmentsExceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi taskProven experience developing and growing teamsExcellent verbal and written communicationStandard knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office ProgramsMust be flexible to meet the needs of the departmentMust be 18 years or older to applyACP1
