Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• More than 2 years in a veterinary medicine setting.
• Ability to restrain patients, perform venipuncture and IVC placement, position for and take radiographs, run in-house laboratory work and administer medications.
• Client communication experience required.

Responsibilities

• Determine animal requirements by conducting examinations and reviewing care plans and records.
• Care for patients by taking vital signs, collecting samples, administering medications, drugs, and vaccines, and bandaging wounds.
• Support examinations and operations by preparing supplies and instrument sets and restraining patients as directed by the veterinarian.
• Maintain medical records by documenting patient conditions, reactions, and changes; update database promptly.
