Lange Animal Hospital in Knoxville, TN is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join a small animal general practice with 1–2 years of clinical experience. The team emphasizes compassionate patient care, client communication, and collaborative work in a fully equipped facility.

The position offers a 4-day work week with rotating Saturdays, medical/dental/vision insurance, PTO, CE reimbursement, and opportunities for growth within a supportive hospital.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum experience in a veterinary hospital.
• CVT/LVT/RVT preferred but not required.
• Experience with general practice and full-service veterinary care highly preferred.
• Graduates of accredited veterinary technician programs encouraged to apply.
• Strong veterinary medical knowledge and record-keeping accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist in diagnostic procedures such as blood draws, urinalysis, radiology and in-house lab work.
• Monitor anesthesia and assist in surgeries, dental procedures, and post-op care.
• Prepare and assist with surgical and dental procedures in a sterile environment.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments including wound care and fluids.
• Explain treatment plans and discharge instructions to clients.
• Maintain EMR updates and inventory management to ensure a clean clinical environment.
