Job summary

GoodVets in Evanston, IL is hiring a Veterinary Technician to support veterinarians with surgical procedures, anesthesia monitoring, diagnostics, and client education. You will bring technical expertise and compassion to every patient, helping deliver gold-standard care.

Qualifications

• CVT or RVT license preferred but not required.
• Prior surgical and anesthesia experience in a veterinary setting.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong customer service orientation and a passion for helping pets and people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team-oriented mindset with eagerness to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters with accuracy and efficiency.
• Conduct radiographic imaging and assist with diagnostics.
• Monitor anesthesia and assist veterinarians during surgery.
• Perform physical exams and communicate findings clearly.
• Assist in surgical prep, dental procedures, and lab work.
• Provide compassionate care to hospitalized patients.
• Maintain patient records and client education follow-up.
• Help keep the hospital clean, organized, and supportive.
