Job summary

Stand Together Ventures Lab is seeking an Experienced Full-Time Registered Veterinary Technician to join a dedicated small-animal practice in Albuquerque, NM. The role focuses on high-quality nursing care, surgical preparation, and client education.

Responsibilities include monitoring anesthesia, assisting with dental and surgical procedures, processing lab work, and maintaining accurate patient records while collaborating with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must have current RVT/LVT/CVT credential.
• Strong surgical experience is required.
• Confident anesthesia skills are essential.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques is required.
• Ability to work both independently and with a team.
• Excellent communication with clients and staff.
• Attention to detail in all patient records and procedures.
• Compassionate approach to patient care and clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to small-animal patients.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor during procedures.
• Monitor anesthesia and vital signs intraoperatively.
• Assist with surgical and dental procedures as needed.
• Process lab samples and run basic diagnostics.
• Administer medications as prescribed by veterinarians.
• Document patient progress and update records accurately.
• Educate clients on care, procedures and aftercare.
• Maintain medical records and ensure confidentiality.
• Support the veterinary team in daily clinical activities.
