Job summary

Orchard Park Veterinary Medical Center is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. You will support veterinarians, promote pet health, and help maintain hospital efficiency in a fast-paced 24/7 hospital.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology from an accredited program.
• Current New York State Veterinary Technician license required.
• Minimum of one year of veterinary experience.
• At least one year of experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician preferred.
• Excellent client service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality veterinary care to canine and feline patients in collaboration with veterinarians.
• Assist with medical, surgical, and dental procedures.
• Communicate with clients regarding admissions, discharges, and medications.
• Enter patient and client information into EzyVet and Smart Flow accurately.
• Administer various medications and oversee anesthesia procedures when indicated.
• Cross-train in general and specialty areas and help train other staff.
