Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital is seeking a skilled Surgery Veterinary Technician to join our surgical team at our modern facility in Ocean Township, NJ. We provide a flexible 4-day work schedule, competitive hourly pay ranging from $20 to $27, with potential for more based on experience, as well as comprehensive benefits.

Since 1983, Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital has proudly served dogs and cats across Monmouth County, the Jersey Shore, and New Jersey. We are a large, multi‑departmental AAHA‑accredited, Fear‑Free, and Cat‑Friendly practice, located in a modern, state‑of‑the‑art facility just minutes from the beach.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Surgery Veterinary Technician to join our surgical team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with experienced doctors on both routine and advanced procedures. What You’ll Do

• Assist veterinarians during general and advanced surgical procedures, including orthopedic surgery
• Confidently monitor patients under anesthesia using a variety of monitoring equipment
• Perform dental cleanings: dental radiographs, charting, scaling, and polishing
• Prepare patients for surgery and maintain sterile fields
• Support hospitalized surgical patients with postoperative care
• Participate in ongoing cross‑training opportunities across multiple hospital departments

Who We’re Looking For

• A CVT or a veterinary technician with 1–2+ years of surgery/anesthesia experience
• Interest and some experience in dentistry and dental radiology
• Confidence with anesthesia monitoring
