Thrive Pet Healthcare in Torrance, CA seeks an ER Veterinary Technician Supervisor for overnight shifts. You’ll supervise the ER technician team, assist veterinarians, manage patient flow, and participate in surgeries as needed.

Thrive offers extensive training, growth, and caregiver support within a nationwide network. Responsibilities include client communication, medical records management, and maintaining clean, organized labs and exam rooms.

• Licensure as Veterinary Technician preferred, but not required.
• Lead or supervisor experience in a veterinary hospital, ER/specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
• Provide supervision, training, coaching to the ER veterinary technician team
• With each hospital function, assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians.
• Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
• Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
• Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
• Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
• Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.

ACCESS South Bay is looking for a Veterinary Technician to join us as an ER Veterinary Technician Supervisor.

ACCESS South Bay is one of the largest, most advanced, and progressive veterinary multi-specialty referral groups in So Cal. We are comprised of emergency, critical care, cardiology, internal medicine, neurology and surgery providing the highest level care for pets in our community.

As an ER Veterinary Technician Supervisor, you’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

Role Responsibilities:

Schedule:

Wednesday - Saturday

Compensation based on credentials and skills assessment with an hourly pay rate starting at $26 - $36 / hour + a $2/hr supervisor stipend. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
