Job summary

AmeriVet’s Companion Animal Hospital – Chichester, NH is seeking a Veterinary Technician Supervisor to lead from the floor, build a high-performing team, and shape the hospital's future. This hands-on leadership role requires balancing supervision with patient care and system upgrades.

You will coach technicians, manage schedules, ensure compliance, and partner with DVMs to deliver top‑quality care and client experience. A credentialed tech and leadership experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of veterinary technician experience required.
• Credentialed veterinary technician preferred.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong technical skills in surgery, anesthesia, and patient care.
• Knowledge of compliance standards (controlled substances, documentation).
• Experience with PIMS and veterinary software (EzyVet, VetSnap) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the technician team throughout the day (this is a working supervisor role).
• Create and maintain technician schedules, assignments, and workflow efficiency.
• Train, mentor, and develop team members at all skill levels.
• Ensure adherence to medical protocols, safety standards, and compliance (DEA, controlled substances, etc.).
• Partner with DVMs and leadership team members to support efficient, high-quality patient care.
• Drive accountability while fostering a positive, team-first culture.
• Support hospital initiatives, software transitions, and process improvements.
• Assist with inventory, equipment oversight, and surgical flow.
• Participate in marketing initiatives.
