Job summary

BluePearl Port Washington is seeking a Veterinary Technician Supervisor to lead and mentor a team of veterinary professionals. The ideal candidate will be a CVT with excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills, and will train and coach staff in a dynamic emergency and specialty care setting.

You will work with hospital leadership to organize meetings, schedule trainings, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• Must be a CVT with strong leadership and mentorship skills.
• Proven ability to train, coach, and engage a veterinary team.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a mentor to junior staff, modeling positive work habits and clinical skills.
• Coach team to anticipate patient and client needs and manage escalated situations.
• Collaborate with leadership to organize technician and assistant meetings.
• Organize training schedules for technician staff.
• Identify workplace conflicts and pursue timely resolutions.
• Provide feedback and help develop performance improvement plans.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

As a Veterinary Technician Supervisor , you will...

• Serve as a mentor to lower-level staff by demonstrating positive work habits, effective clinical skills and business knowledge.
• Coach team members to be continuously aware and proactive at anticipating and addressing patient and client needs and to seek assistance with escalated, stressful situations.
• Works with hospital leadership to organize tech and assistant meetings.
• Organize training schedules for Technician staff.
• Identify conflicts in the workplace and seek assistance in resolution .
• Provide feedback leadership and works to develop performance improvement plans.
• Other related duties as assigned.
