Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Fluent English speaking and reading skills required.

South Asheville Veterinary Emergency & Specialty (SAVES) is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician Supervisor to lead our Specialty Services team in Asheville, NC. This leadership opportunity is ideal for an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician who is passionate about mentorship, team development, and delivering exceptional specialty patient care. Responsibilities

  • Help implement new medical protocols, workflows, and best practices.
  • Maintain high standards of nursing care and patient safety.
Training & Development
  • Assist with onboarding and training new Veterinary Technicians and support staff.
  • Develop and maintain training materials and competency programs.
  • Encourage continuing education and ongoing professional development.
  • Mentor Veterinary Technicians as they build advanced specialty nursing skills.
Communication & Collaboration
  • Facilitate communication between specialists, Veterinary Technicians, Client Service Representatives, and hospital leadership.
  • Lead departmental meetings and communicate operational updates.
  • Partner with other department supervisors to promote efficient hospital operations and exceptional patient care.
Operational Support
  • Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Support hospital quality initiatives and workflow improvements.
  • Assist with maintaining department organization, equipment, and cleanliness.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.
Qualifications
