As an Anesthesia Veterinary Technician, you will:

• Assist in patient procedures using knowledge of anesthesia and analgesia protocols, including formulating anesthetic plans tailored to individual needs.
• Monitor anesthesia, troubleshoot complications, and intervene appropriately.
• Perform intravenous catheter placement, endotracheal intubation, and maintain anesthetic equipment.
• Conduct physical exams and monitor vital parameters, alerting the doctor to abnormalities.
• Set up intravenous fluids and CRIs.
• Expand your knowledge with advanced anesthetic skills such as epidurals, difficult airway management, and critical case handling.
• Operate and troubleshoot all brands of intravenous fluid pumps.
• Manage patient procedures from pre-op to recovery, including monitoring and post-op care.
• Manage appointments, medical records, invoicing, and patient discharges.
• Handle aseptic disconnection and reconnection of patients from intravenous fluids.
• Monitor responses to fluid therapy, including signs of overload.
