PetVet Care Centers' Spanish Trail Pet Clinic in Tucson, Arizona is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team. You will provide quality patient care, assist during examinations and surgeries, and help maintain medical records and inventory.

Qualified applicants have at least 1 year of veterinary experience and a high school diploma or GED. The role includes a sign-on bonus up to $1,000 based on experience and a strong benefits package, with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 8

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of Veterinary experience.
• Able to perform moderately physically demanding work, lifting up to 50 pounds, cleaning, and constant motion.
• Flexible with scheduling; ability to work some weekends and holidays.
• Potential exposure to animals, zoonotic diseases, and chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Determine animal requirements by conducting examinations, reviewing plans and records, and performing diagnostics.
• Care for patients by taking vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with procedures.
• Support examinations and operations by preparing supplies and restraining patients as directed by the veterinarian.
• Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes, and pharmacology during patient care.
• Obtain and verify medications; document and manage controlled substances.
• Maintain clean, safe patient areas and accurate medical records; communicate status to owners as directed.
• Fill prescriptions and document administration where applicable; ensure proper storage and security of meds.
• Maintain equipment and inventory; participate in ongoing education and professional reading.
