Veterinary Specialty Hospital (VSH) is looking for a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our Radiation Oncology team.

About the Job: As a Vet Tech in the Radiation Oncology department, you will be responsible for:

1. Overseeing appointments and managing clients throughout their visit.
2. Participating with DVMs in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
3. Obtaining and processing laboratory samples such as blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates.
4. Utilizing different modalities of imaging for patient and procedural assessment.
5. Executing (RVT), monitoring, and recovering all assigned sedation and anesthetic events.
6. Providing empathy, comfort, and unparalleled nursing care to all patients; being a strong patient advocate during the patient's hospitalization.
7. Maintaining all equipment on a per-use basis ensuring the safety and best practice care of all patients.
8. Providing client communication and education on various oncology disease processes.

About You:

1. Previous experience in radiation oncology preferred but not required.
2. Minimum of 1 - 2 years in a progressive veterinary hospital required.
3. Experienced VA or RVT preferred.
4. Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community is required.
5. Positive outlook and ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
6. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service is expected.

Wage Ranges:

Veterinary Assistant: $23 - $30 per hour

Veterinary Technician: $26 - $35 per hour

Veterinary Technician Specialist: $38 - $50 per hour
