BluePearl Pet Hospital in Conshohocken, PA is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team.

As a Veterinary Technician, you will induce, monitor and recover anesthesia, triage emergencies, perform radiography, and manage vital signs with accuracy. Our team emphasizes mentorship and high standards of care, with competitive pay and shift differentials for nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Careful monitoring of anesthesia and patient vitals during procedures.
• Ability to triage emergency cases and assess vitals including BP, HR, RR, temp.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy and placing IV catheters in peripheral vessels.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia and use anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases as they arrive at the hospital including obtaining vitals.
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique and positioning.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Calculate medical doses and administer medications via appropriate routes.

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Conshohocken, PA is hiring a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team.

Pay: $22.15 - $44.00 / hour

Schedule: Sunday 7:00AM-7:00PM

This pay band is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool. Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience.

We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends. For example:

• Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = $3.50 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $3.50 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.00 Shift Differential

As a Veterinary Technician, You Will

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients and use anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases as they arrive at the hospital including obtaining vitals such as temperature heart rate, respiratory rate and blood pressure.
• Perform digital radiography using proper technique including proper positioning of patients.
• Have a complete understanding of normal ranges of patient vital signs, including but not limited to heart and respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure and oxygen saturation.
• Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes and issues.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Properly calculate medical math (including constant rate infusions) and administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
• Are proficient at performing phlebotomy and placing intravenous catheters in all peripheral vessels.
• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
• Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
• Have patience and empathy to address client concerns.
