Assists clinicians with veterinary procedures including specialty care, emergency care, surgery, radiography, anesthesiology, laboratory work, and animal handling. Essential Functions - Assist clients and patients with assessments, procedures, and discharges. - Prepare patients for various veterinary procedures. - Support diagnostic and treatment processes under DVM oversight. - Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients and team members. - Handle animals safely and restrain animals as needed. - Perform medical procedures such as fluid therapy, biopsies, and sample collection. - Administer medications and educate clients on home care. - Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information. - Ensure proper charging for services and supplies. - Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment. Qualifications - Graduate of Veterinary Technician program or equivalent, with MVMA/MAVT certification or eligibility. - Experience preferred for senior technician roles. - Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal restraint, and handling.
