Job summary

VCA Eye Clinic for Animals in San Diego, CA is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our Ophthalmology team. This part-time role supports our clinic at 5610 Kearny Mesa Rd, offering Monday–Friday shifts and a compensation range of $25–$30 per hour, negotiable based on education, experience, and credentials.

The ideal candidate will have RVT licensure, ophthalmology exposure preferred but not required, and strong client communication, anesthesia, surgical prep, and diagnostic

Qualifications

• Must have documented previous experience; anesthesia experience preferred; ophthalmology experience is a plus but not required.
• Hold a current RVT license.
• Must have surgery/anesthesia experience.
• Flexibility to work Monday through Friday.
• Customer service skills.
• Working knowledge of computers.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Capable of being cross-trained as a receptionist.
• Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments.

Location: 5610 Kearny Mesa Rd # A, San Diego, CA 92111

Schedule: Part-time, Monday 7:30 am - 6 pm

Salary: $25– $30 per hour (negotiable based on education, experience, and credentials)
