Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health in West Springfield, MA, is seeking a full-time Oncology Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT) to join the VESH oncology team. You will work closely with doctors to deliver advanced treatments, chemotherapy administration, and compassionate nursing care for pets under cancer care.

Responsibilities include intakes, treatment planning, radiographs and imaging support, and accurate medical records.

Qualifications

• Certified Veterinary Technician required (CVT, RVT, or LVT)
• Active veterinary technician credential in Massachusetts required
• Previous oncology experience preferred
• Fluent English speaking and reading skills required

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intakes and obtain detailed medical histories
• Review treatment plans, cost estimates, medications, and discharge instructions with clients
• Assist veterinarians with patient exams, diagnostics, procedures, and chemotherapy administration
• Collect and prepare diagnostic samples including blood, urine, and fine needle aspirates
• Perform medical calculations and administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Safely handle and administer chemotherapy agents according to hospital safety protocols
• Assist with radiographs, CT scans, ultrasound procedures, and patient positioning
• Monitor sedated patients during procedures and oversee safe recovery
• Deliver high-quality patient care while maintaining accurate medical records
• Collaborate closely with doctors and fellow technicians to ensure excellent patient outcomes

Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital (VESH) in West Springfield, MA is hiring a Certified Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology team. This full-time Veterinary Technician opportunity is ideal for a CVT, RVT, or LVT who is passionate about oncology, specialty medicine, patient care, and supporting families throughout their pet’s treatment journey.

As an Oncology Veterinary Technician at VESH, you’ll work closely with our doctors and specialty team to provide advanced treatments, compassionate support, and exceptional nursing care for patients receiving cancer care.

Compensation

• $26-31/hour based on experience, skills, and training


• Starting rate may increase for candidates with advanced oncology knowledge or specialty experience


• Shift differential where applicable
