North Houston Veterinary Ophthalmology in Spring, TX is hiring a Full-time Veterinary Technician to join our ophthalmology referral team. The role focuses on client interaction, specimen collection, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and accurate medical record keeping in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The position offers a 9-hour shift schedule (Tuesday–Friday), with no weekends, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have at least 3 years veterinary technician experience.
• Must be able to stand, stoop, or bend for long periods.
• Must maintain a professional appearance and communicate clearly with clients, doctors, and staff.
• Must be able to perform venipuncture and place IV catheters; restrain animals and handle specimens.

Full‑Time Veterinary Technician

North Houston Veterinary Ophthalmology - Spring, Texas

Requirements

• Must be well‑spoken
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to stand, stoop, or bend for long periods of time
• Must maintain a professional appearance
• Must be able to clearly communicate with clients, doctors, and staff
• Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions
• Must maintain a positive and professional attitude
• Must be able to perform venipuncture
• Must be familiar with specimen collecting for lab submission
• Must be able to handle and restrain animals
• Must be proficient in anesthetic induction, maintenance, and monitoring
• Must have at least 3 years veterinary technician experience
• Must be able to place I.V. catheters efficiently
• Must be familiar with veterinary terminology and anatomy
• Must be able to carry up to 40lbs unassisted
• Must be able to maintain accurate medical records, both written and electronically

Background and reference checks will be done on all candidates.
