AmeriVet in Spring, TX is seeking a Veterinary Technician for the North Houston Veterinary Ophthalmology practice. You will support ophthalmology care, interact with clients, and assist doctors in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of veterinary tech experience, is comfortable handling and restraining animals, and can perform venipuncture and anesthesia tasks while maintaining clear records and a professional demeanor.

Qualifikationen

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of veterinary technician experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia induction, maintenance and monitoring.

Aufgaben

• Assist veterinary ophthalmology team and support clients.
• Maintain accurate medical records both written and electronic.
• Perform venipuncture and collect specimens for lab submission.
• Restrain animals safely and monitor anesthesia as needed.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and maintain professionalism.
