Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
• Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately.
• Prepare examination rooms and surgical areas by cleaning and sterilizing equipment.
• Perform basic laboratory tests, such as collecting blood, urine, and stool samples.
• Administer medications and vaccinations under supervision.
• Communicate with pet owners about care plans and follow-up visits.
• Maintain medical records and clinic cleanliness.

Toro Park Animal Hospital is a trusted, full-service clinic in the Salinas area, proudly voted “Best Hospital” seven years running. We are currently hiring for a full-time or part-time Vet Technician to join our team of experienced veterinarians and devoted support staff to continue to provide high quality care to our patients. Salary:$28-$32/hr. based on experience and skill set.

Schedule:Mon-Fri and some Saturdays. 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and vet techs during examinations, treatments, and surgeries
• Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
• Prepare examination rooms and surgical areas by cleaning and sterilizing equipment and surfaces
• Perform basic laboratory tests, such as collecting blood, urine, and stool samples
• Administer medications and vaccinations under the supervision of a veterinarian
• Feed, bathe, and exercise animals as needed
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Communicate with pet owners about their pets’ care, treatment plans, and follow-up visits
• Clean and maintain the clinic, including stocking supplies and ensuring a safe and sanitary environment
