Registered Veterinary Technician or Senior Veterinary Assistant, Neurology – SAGE Campbell
Compensation: $32-$40 hourly
Schedule: Monday-Wednesday, 3x12s – No weekend shifts.
About the Role
- Deepen your understanding of neurological anatomy and function while supporting diagnostic and surgical procedures.
- Perform high-quality anesthetic induction, monitoring, and maintenance for surgeries and advanced imaging.
- Accurately calculate and administer medications and fluid therapy for hospitalized patients.
- Assist with specialized surgeries, advanced imaging, and neurologic consultations.
- Perform venipuncture, IV and urinary catheter placement, and other essential technical procedures.
- Conduct and document thorough patient assessments, noting physical and behavioral changes.
- Communicate patient updates clearly and collaborate closely with the Neurologist and broader medical team.
- Support client education by helping pet parents understand their pet’s care and treatment.
- Use practice management software to accurately maintain medical records and patient data.
- Prepare or carry out procedures that do not require direct veterinarian assistance.
Compensation
- $32-$40 hourly
- $5.50/hr differential for any hours worked between 6pm-6am
Work Schedule
- Full-time
- 4/10 or 3/12 schedule
- No weekends
Basic Required Qualifications
- Current and valid RVT license in the state of California
- 2+ years in a specialty setting in the veterinary industry
- Neurology experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and exhibit confidentiality and discretion when appropriate
- Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations
