Job Summary

Acuity seeks a Veterinary Technician to support our contract in the Republic of the Marshall Islands, responsible for the health of domestic and feral animals on the island.

Responsibilities
  • Examine animals for diseases or injuries.
  • Inoculate animals against rabies, distemper, etc.
  • Collect samples for analysis.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment like radiography and ultrasound.
  • Establish quarantine and testing procedures per regulations.
  • Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling and records.
  • Inspect animals for communicable diseases.
  • Plan animal nutrition and reproduction programs.
  • Inspect animal housing for cleanliness.
  • Be available for on-call emergencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education & Qualifications
  • High School/GED required.
  • Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology and current Veterinary Technician Certificate.
  • At least two years’ experience in private practice or military.
  • Experience in emergencies, record-keeping, and international health certificates.
  • Proficiency with microchip programs and basic software.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License and Passport.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Clearance via CNACI investigation.
Physical & Work Conditions
  • Must be medically and dentally fit.
  • Work involves sitting and standing for long periods.
  • Work environment is typically indoors; travel to Kwajalein by air required.
