Job summary

Veritas Veterinary Partners seeks a clinically minded and team-focused technician manager to lead the credentialed technician team at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital. The Technician manager is responsible for the performance, development, and daily coordination of the hospital's RVT, LVT, and CVT staff, ensuring clinical excellence across all specialty and emergency services.

Qualifications

• Active RVT/LVT/CVT credential in the state of practice.
• Minimum three years of experience in a veterinary clinical environment with at least one year in a supervisory or lead technician role.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing or developing a credentialed clinical team.
• Strong understanding of credentialed technician scope of practice across multiple states and specialty veterinary disciplines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to partner across clinical and operational teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily technician deployment across specialty services, emergency and critical care, ensuring appropriate coverage and skill alignment.
• Collaborate with the medical director and veterinarians on clinical protocols, case support workflows and equipment utilization.
• Monitor clinical quality indicators and take corrective actions when gaps in technician practice or patient safety are identified.
• Serve as a clinical resource for the technician team, providing guidance on complex cases, procedures and controlled substance handling.
• Lead, schedule and develop the credentialed technician team across all clinical departments and shifts.
• Conduct regular performance conversations, coaching sessions and formal reviews aligned with clinical standards and Veritas Veterinary Partners' values.
• Partner with the hospital director and People and Culture Operations on recruiting, onboarding, retention and performance management.
• Identify skill gaps and facilitate continuing education, certification support and clinical development opportunities.
• Foster a team culture of clinical excellence and professional growth by remaining open to feedback from teammates and leaders.
