Job summary

VCA Animal Medical Center of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA is seeking two experienced Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVT, CVT, or LVT) to support our full‑service hospital.

You will work alongside veterinarians to deliver high‑quality medical, surgical and emergency care, while focusing on compassionate client communication and patient welfare.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a RVT license or equivalent (CVT/LVT) in good standing.
  • Minimum years experience as a veterinary technician is preferred.
  • Strong communication and client service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical examinations and patient assessments.
  • Monitor anesthesia during procedures.
  • Surgical preparation and assisting.
  • Dentistry procedures and dental cleanings.
  • Operate radiology equipment and process images.
  • Run laboratory tests and manage samples.
  • Venipuncture and catheter placement.
  • Pharmacy duties and proper medication handling.
  • Support patient recovery and compassionate care.
