Job summary

Burlington Emergency & Veterinary Specialists (BEVS) is seeking a skilled Hybrid ER/ICU Veterinary Technician to join our ECC team on our busy overnight shifts. This VT role offers care on the emergency floor and ICU nursing unit in Williston, VT.

Base pay ranges $26.00–$32.00/hr for licensed technicians and $22.00–$28.00/hr for unlicensed staff, with shift differentials for overnight and weekends. Requires 2+ years in a veterinary setting; CVT/LVT preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior veterinary hospital experience required
• Prior emergency experience preferred
• CVT or License preferred but not required
• Must have a positive attitude and be a team player

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to patients and their families
• Perform triage and initiate critical interventions for emergent patients
• Conduct basic examinations to assess patient stability
• Execute advanced nursing procedures including CPR, phlebotomy, cystocentesis, lab testing, and CRI calculations
• Administer and monitor sedation for minor procedures and anesthesia for emergencies
• Provide ongoing care for hospitalized ICU and isolation patients
• Facilitate admissions and discharges from the ICU
• Prepare treatment estimates and discuss financial commitments with clients
• Maintain accurate medical records per hospital protocols
• Ensure exam rooms and treatment areas are prepared and maintained

Overnight Hybrid ER/ICU Veterinary Technician

Burlington Emergency and Veterinary Specialists in Williston, VT

$26.00 - $32.00 per hour base rate for experienced, licensed technicians;

And $22.00 - $28.00 per hour for unlicensed.

Overnight and weekend shifts are eligible for a shift differential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Facilitate patient admissions and discharges from the ICU
• Prepare treatment estimates and discuss financial commitments with clients
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in accordance with hospital protocols
• Ensure exam rooms and treatment areas are properly prepared and maintained
