Job summary

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is seeking a Veterinary Technician I to provide the daily care of research animals and assist with research projects as directed by the Principal Investigator and/or supervisor.

This position is the first level of three levels of Veterinary Technicians and supports the Uniformed Services University (USU) Department of Laboratory Animal Resources (DLAR).

Qualifications

• Provide daily care of research animals.
• Assist with research projects as directed by PI or supervisor.
• Support DLAR at USU.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care and welfare of research animals.
• Assist with procedures under supervision.
• Maintain animal records and report health concerns.

HJF is seeking a Veterinary Technician I who is responsible for providing the daily care of research animals and assisting with research projects as directed by the Principal Investigator and/or supervisor. First of three levels of Veterinary Technicians.
