Westchester Veterinary Hospital in High Point, NC seeks an experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join a high-volume general practice. You will support clinicians in appointments, surgery, anesthesia, and daily clinical operations with compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant in a general practice, urgent care, or emergency setting.
• Strong technical skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy hospital environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable working with canine and feline patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with appointments, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
• Perform technical tasks such as venipuncture, catheter placement, sample collection, and patient restraint.
• Monitor anesthesia and support surgical procedures.
• Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and treatment areas.
• Administer medications and vaccinations as directed.
• Provide compassionate nursing care for hospitalized patients.
• Support high-volume general practice workflow and patient care.
