Qualifications

• Credentialed veterinary technician preferred.
• Experienced veterinary assistant or technician candidates welcome.
• Strong technical skills in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory procedures.
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical support preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and obtain histories, vitals, and patient assessments.
• Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures.
• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care from intake through discharge.
• Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection.
• Monitor patients and provide supportive nursing care, including TPRs, pain scoring, and wound care.
• Educate clients on patient care, medications, discharge instructions, and preventative care.
• Support surgical and anesthesia procedures while maintaining excellent patient safety standards.
