Brittmoore Animal Hospital in Houston, TX is hiring a Veterinary Technician to join our five-doctor AAHA-accredited team. You’ll monitor anesthesia, assist with surgeries, perform in-house lab work, and educate clients to promote preventive care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician.
• Strong technical skills including venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, and laboratory procedures.
• Confidence assisting with surgery and dentistry.
• Knowledge of preventive care, vaccines, and patient nursing.
• Excellent communication and client education skills.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and obtain medical histories and vital signs.
• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Provide nursing care from intake to discharge.
• Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments.
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and fluid therapy.
