Job summary

Westside Veterinary Clinic in Searcy, AR seeks a Veterinary Technician / Assistant to provide patient care, assist during exams, maintain records and support clinical tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1–2 years related experience or training.
• Registered Veterinary Technicians in Arkansas are preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Check patient medical records and enter histories.
• Take medical histories and vital signs.
• Maintain client educational materials.
• Admit and discharge patients.
• Process and log prescriptions and refills.
• Monitor hospital patients and log vital signs.
• Administer medications as needed.
• Place catheters and perform blood draws.
• Restrain and assist the doctor during exams and anesthesia procedures.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
