AmeriVet Washington Avenue Animal Hospital in Philadelphia is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician with strong clinical skills. You will greet clients, record patient histories, assist veterinarians with routine and urgent appointments, and participate in euthanasia when needed.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years' experience, proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, patient restraint, diagnostic imaging, in-house labs, and excellent communication and client education

Qualificações

• 2+ years of veterinary technician experience preferred.
• Strong communication and client education skills.
• Flexible schedule including rotating Saturdays.

Responsabilidades

• Greet clients and patients arriving for appointments or walk-ins, obtaining weight and vital signs.
• Document patient visits in the medical record with thorough history.
• Assist veterinarians with routine and urgent appointments, including euthanasias.
• Perform patient restraint, collect lab samples, handle medications, and input data in records.
• Check out clients, schedule appointments, and relay test results to doctors and clients.
• Educate clients on preventive care, dental hygiene, nutrition, and more.
• Provide in-hospital treatments, injections, IV therapies, and maintain patient care areas.
• Collaborate with the team, support onboarding of new staff, keep the hospital clean.
• Participate in ongoing training and hospital improvement initiatives.
