White Mountain Animal Hospital, part of AmeriVet, is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team in Pinetop-Lakeside, AZ. The role involves patient rooming, surgical assistance, blood draws, radiology, and client education in a fast-paced small animal hospital offering general care and emergency services.

Ideal candidates are licensed technicians (preferred) with 1+ year of experience, strong animal handling skills, and a patient, team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (preferred).
• 1+ years of veterinary experience.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Obtaining accurate and thorough medical histories (TPR).
• Assisting doctor and other technical staff with restraint.
• Blood draws (cephalic, saphenous, jugular).
• Placing IV catheters.
• Digital radiology including positioning.
• Dentistry (scaling, polishing, anesthetic monitoring).
• Anesthesia (induction, intubation, monitoring).
• Laboratory skills such as ear and fecal cytology; Idexx equipment.
• Excellent client communication/education.
• Cross-trained with reception & kenneling experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctor and technical staff with restraint and patient care.
• Take blood samples and place IV catheters.
• Perform digital radiography with correct positioning.
• Monitor during anesthesia and aseptic techniques.
