Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital is hiring Veterinary Technicians or Veterinary Assistants for our General Practice Department!

About the job: The general practice veterinary technician manages client appointments and diagnostics for routine and sick visits. Our GP handles a high volume of dental procedures, with pre-anesthetic workups, dental x-rays, and cleanings being key parts of daily workflow.

How you'll make a difference:

• Run exam room appointments, obtain bloodwork, x-rays, ultrasounds
• Communicate with clients and educate about illness and preventive care
• Provide patient care and administer medications/vaccines
• Perform dental hygiene, dental x-ray procedures, anesthesia based on experience
• Assist GP doctors as needed

What you will bring:

• Experience as a Credentialed Veterinary Technician preferred; PVT experience accepted
• Candidates with 2+ years veterinary assistant experience or enrolled in veterinary programs considered for assistant roles
• Empathy, comfort, and excellent nursing care for patients and owners
• Positive attitude, collaborative spirit, and commitment to building long-term relationships
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, delivering exceptional client service
• Honesty, integrity, eagerness to learn, and a fun attitude!

Schedule: Full-time, 4x10 shifts from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm, including weekdays and weekends

Salary: $24.00 - $29.00/hour based on experience
