Animal Medical Center of the Lowcountry in Beaufort, South Carolina, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician/Assistant to join our compassionate team. This full-time role offers four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts with no weekends, enabling a healthy work-life balance.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of veterinary experience or a valid licensed technician credential, strong animal handling skills, and a commitment to client education and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Two years of veterinary experience preferred.
• Valid Veterinary Technician License preferred.
• Strong animal handling and restraint skills.
• Knowledge of preventive veterinary care and vaccines.

Responsibilities

• Safely restrain and handle patients.
• Obtain histories and vital signs.
• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Prepare patients, equipment and treatment areas for procedures.
• Assist with surgical induction, monitoring and recovery.
• Monitor anesthetized patients and respond to changes.
• Place IV catheters and assist with fluids.
