Job summary

Pima North Animal Hospital in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Veterinary Technician or experienced Veterinary Assistant who is passionate about patient care and teamwork. Join an AAHA-accredited, Cat Friendly practice providing medical, surgical, dental, boarding and grooming services with a supportive team.

Responsibilities include assisting doctors, monitoring patients, collecting lab samples, anesthesia support, dental procedures, client education, and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of veterinary experience required.
• Credentialed Veterinary Technician preferred, but not required.
• Strong patient care and animal handling skills.
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical support preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Commitment to compassionate patient care and exceptional client service.
• Interest in continuing education and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Assist with appointments, treatments, and medical procedures.
• Monitor hospitalized patients and perform patient assessments.
• Collect laboratory samples and run in-house diagnostics.
• Administer medications and support anesthesia induction, monitoring and recovery.
• Assist with dental procedures and surgery.
• Educate clients on medications, treatment plans, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation.
• Collaborate with doctors, assistants, and client service representatives to ensure exceptional patient care.
