Bay Moorings Animal Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician (licensed or unlicensed) to join our growing small animal practice. You will work with a team that values patient care, communication, and collaboration in a modern facility.

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary technician is required.
• Licensed RVT/CVT preferred but not required.
• Unlicensed technicians are encouraged to apply.
• Strong anesthesia, diagnostics, venipuncture, and patient handling skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, treatments, and client education.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and IV fluids.
• Perform venipuncture, place IV catheters, and run laboratory tests.
• Take and process radiographs.
• Prepare patients for surgery, monitor anesthesia, and support recovery.
• Assist with dental procedures and patient monitoring.
• Maintain accurate patient records and communicate treatment plans with clients.
• Provide attentive care and monitoring for hospitalized patients.
• Help maintain inventory, equipment, and treatment areas.
• Support doctors and the hospital team throughout the day.
• Take an active role in patient care and help keep the hospital running efficiently.
