Job summary

Crystal River Animal Hospital in Crystal River, FL seeks a Veterinary Technician to support veterinarians and other staff in patient care and hospital operations. You will monitor hospitalized pets, perform in-house lab work, prepare prescriptions, and assist with surgeries.

The role requires teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Schedule is Monday–Friday 8am–5pm with no weekends, and benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in medicine and surgery as needed.
• Take histories, vitals, and weights during outpatient exams and educate clients.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor during procedures.
• Obtain samples and perform in-house lab work; prep specimens for outside labs.
• Take and develop radiographs following safety procedures.
• Assist with restraining animals and administering medications and vaccines.
• Keep exam rooms and labs clean and stocked; support team and maintain equipment.
