Black Dog Veterinary Services in Bozeman, MT is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our progressive small animal practice. Credentialed technicians are preferred, but experienced non-credentialed professionals are encouraged to apply.

We are AAHA-accredited, Fear Free Certified and Cat Friendly, with high technician utilization and strong doctor support. The role offers Monday–Friday hours, flexible PT/FT scheduling, opportunities to develop and lead areas of interest, and room

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on veterinary clinical experience required.
• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) preferred, but non-credentialed technicians are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient histories and perform TPRs.
• Safely handle and restrain dogs and cats using Fear Free techniques.
• Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
• Collect and process laboratory samples.
• Administer medications and prescribed treatments.
• Take digital radiographs.
• Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures and recovery.
• Perform dental cleanings and dental radiographs.
• Support outpatient and hospitalized patient care.
• Fill prescriptions and maintain accurate medical records.
• Educate clients on treatments, medications and preventive care.
• Collaborate with doctors and teammates to maintain hospital flow.
